I'm Awa Dia, a multi-hyphenate creative with expertise in event photography, portraits, retouching, and visual storytelling. With a background in Visual Communications and a diverse range of creative skills, I am passionate about transforming ideas into powerful visuals. My work spans across various mediums, from event photography to social media and sewing, allowing me to bring a unique touch to every project.

My Creative Journey

Since embarking on my photography journey in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of working with leading brands such as Peloton and Mastercard, delivering impactful event and corporate photography. In 2020, I expanded my skill set into retouching, which added another dimension to my creative work. My photography and retouching have been featured in Food & Wine, Byrdie, and Shape Magazine, reflecting my dedication to high-quality work.

Guided by values of Transparency, Authenticity, Integrity, Accountability, and Creativity, I strive to create work that not only looks beautiful but resonates on a deeper level. These principles are the foundation of everything I do.

Beyond the Creative Work

When I'm not behind the camera or working on a retouching project, I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it's biking scenic trails, roller skating, or practicing yoga. I’m also deeply passionate about storytelling, constantly exploring new creative outlets to expand my craft.
